Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Platforms
Remote · Full-time
You'll modernize legacy core systems and build resilient microservices for clients who can't afford downtime, working on the platforms their business actually runs on.
What you'll do
- Design and build microservices that replace legacy monolithic systems for enterprise clients.
- Lead technical design reviews for core platform rebuilds.
- Establish testing and release practices that catch regressions before they reach production.
- Partner with client engineering teams to plan phased migrations off legacy systems.
- Set technical standards for the team's codebase and review pull requests.
What you'll bring
- 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with production experience in distributed systems.
- Experience leading a legacy modernization or platform rebuild project end to end.
- Strong skills in at least one major backend language and experience with API design at scale.
- Experience establishing or improving a team's testing and release practices.
- Comfortable working directly with client stakeholders on technical decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience with event-driven architecture or message queue systems.
- Prior consulting or professional services background.
- Experience mentoring engineers into technical leadership roles.
