What it's like to join a technology consultancy at the start
Article hero image or video
Joining a new consultancy is a different trade than joining an established one. There's no existing playbook to inherit, which means less structure on day one, but also no legacy process to unlearn — the standards we hold engagements to now are the ones the current team decided were worth holding, not ones left over from a previous era of the company.
In practice, that means every engineer works directly with clients rather than through a layer of account management, and has real input into how we run engagements, not just how we write code. Someone joining now is helping decide what 'how we do things here' actually means, not just following it.
We're hiring deliberately, not quickly — every role listed here is one we're actively looking to fill, all of them fully remote, because that's how the company itself operates.
